What would you do?

A couple weeks ago I asked one of my favourite web stores if they could get some stickers back in stock. I didn't hear anything about it for a few weeks until this past friday when I got an e-mail saying the stickers were in stock. I really had to hesitate as at that moment I did not have the funds to purchase these items. If it hadn't been for my boyfriend who gave me the money I would have e-mailed the store owner asking if a hold could be placed. I really had to make a choice between the stickers and these dice I really like. I bought the stickers along with some fabric as this person had gone out looking for these for me. Besides, I hadn't really seen them else where. I loved the personal aspect of this store, the fact that I got an e-mail really touched me. I know I will continue to buy there even though there is a minimum order.

I think I am slowly pissing off this particular etsy seller, I want to get 24 of this certain cabochons. I messaged them asking about making a custom order of 12 or 24 but so far no response. So far I have bought 2 listings of 6 pieces each. I only have 2 more listings to go. One was posted and someone bought it before I could buy it. So I'm around just refreshing.

I'll probably check again tomorrow...

Waiting...

I finally decided since the etsy seller hasn't gotten back to me yet (even though they were uploading new things) I would buy the item, then if they put another one up I'll buy it. There are two reasons I did it this way. Firstly, is the fact that the seller says it is a custom item, so I have no idea how much they will get in. Secondly, is they offer free shipping on anything in their store.

Smile!!!

I just found everything I have been looking for in a cabochon, it's shaped like a smiling ice cream cone at a great price. It's why I buy the stickers I do, this is everything I wanted to make magnets. I messaged the seller asking about more quantities/prices. Hopefully they responded.

I kind of like when I stumble across things randomly.

What is amusing to me is that I was googling alphabet cookie cutters and came across a Canadian site that sells bakeware. They have quite a selection, two of the sets I do have. Thee are the mini tin cookie cutters, I have both the alphabet and number sets, I bought these at two different dollar stores or $1.00-$2.50. The price on this site the number set $10, the alphabet set $20. That's a huge difference.

Alphabet!

It was quite a day today, I went to the city with my family and shopped for about four hours.

I got to go to all the Dollar stores I normally don’t get to go to.

From the first dollar store I got:

I) 2 packages of plastic alphabet cookie cutters
II) 2 packages of plastic number cookie cutters

The second store:

I) Three of these neat clay kits that come with the molds or cutters to make the shapes. I never knew the Dollar store sold stuff like this.
II) A package of modeling clay in 12 colours
III) Three packages of tiny stamps, one upper case alphabet, one lower case and the other the months of the year.

The third store:

I) 2 packages of magnetic alphabet magnets
II) 1 package of magnetic number magnets
III) 1 “toy” rolling pin that will be perfect for rolling clay out.
IV) 1 package of plastic alphabet cookie cutters for making clay magnets

All in all quite an expensive day, it was about 16 dollars altogether. Most of the stuff is going to be put away for when I move out.

I still need to purchase one more thing from the second dollar store that I didn’t think I would need, I’m planning on making some magnetic calendars with clay, so they had these cute rubber days of the week magnets that would be perfect.

Chapters.ca confuses me sometimes

One of the places I order hard to find items is from chapters.ca.

Chapters.ca site sells:
  • DVDS
  • Books
  • CDS
  • Have a used section from independent sellers
What I like about Chapters is they offer:
  • Many different titles, some I can only find there
  • Free shipping with tracking
  • Able to pay via credit card or gift card
I order DVDS frequently. The majority of the time the dvd I want is not in stock, so it has to be ordered. This process usually takes a few weeks at the most. I got two e-mails today saying some of the items that i ordered are on backorder for another few weeks. About 12 hours later, I get an e-mail saying that the things that were backordered had been shipped that day to me.

What happened to all the keyboard stickers on etsy?

There used to be a ton on the site now there is very little selection, I found one that I really like, which has smiling food. All the others are not me. eBay really doesn't have that great of a selection either.

I really have slowed down on buying stuff online, not much is really appealing to me and plus I don't have that much readily available funds for shopping online. I've been buying a lot from chapters.ca as my dad is getting me to purchase Christmas presents.
