Heavy on stuff!

I have been buying a lot in the past month as I recently have gotten a job. I bought stuff off Etsy, eBay, www.cuteststickers.com and from www.kawaiijapanshop.com. Most of the items I ordered were under 10 dollars, with a few exceptions of a three video games that I bought on eBay and my huge order from kawaiijapanshop. Here is a brief summary :

Etsy :

Weather magnet set by hownice : I love love button magnets and I also things with faces on it. As soon as I got it I ordered another set to give as a gift to my grandparents.

Harry Potter magnet set by mikiarts : I have had this on my favourites list since January so I finally decided to send a message to the seller asking if it was possible to make these into magnets. I hope the artist does continue the set, they are so adorable :).

Princess magnet set by mymimi : I remember seeing this set a few years ago, thought about buying it a few times but never pushed the buy button. I was randomly searching Etsy and found this set again, this time it had free shipping so I decided to go for it.

Lemon Co-ish Block sticker sheet from area1ufo1 : I am pretty sure I saw a picture of this sheet on Flickr a few years ago and never could find it. A few weeks ago I was browsing Etsy at night, was typing in random search terms and came across this sheet.

Kawaiijapanshop :

I made my biggest order from Miki yet, usually I only spend 3-6 dollars but this time a lot attracted me.
[Item]:Kawaii Cute Sticker Flakes Sack Idol Paper Doll Crux (74901)
[Item]:Kawaii Cute Sticker Flakes Sack Princess Paper Doll Crux (74904)
[Item]:Kawaii Cute Sticker Flakes Sack Fairy Tales Princess Paper Doll Crux (74902)
[Item]:Kawaii Cute Sticker Flakes Sack Animal March Mind Wave (73684)
[Item]:Macoto Japanese Retro Illustration Postcard Cute Girls *24
[Item]:Kawaii Cute Sticker Flakes Sack Story of Children Crux (74896)
[Item]:Kawaii Cute Lovely Animals Sticker Flakes Sack dix sept (96686)

Cuteststickers.com:

I had never heard of this place, until I found them on Google looking for sticker dolls. I ordered 6 dress up doll sticker sheets.

eBay :

- Monster Kingdom : Jewel Summoner (PSP)
- Trinity Universe (PS3)
- Atelier Rorona (PS3)
- Magic Pengel and the Quest for Color (Ps2)

I also bought a cute Matryoshka shoulder bag from Glenns2634 that I have had in my watched list for a bit. I am thinking of buying one more to keep around in my car for shopping.

I am seriously tempted by this cute fabric I have found on Etsy....I hope it is still there when I get my first paycheck :).

Bargain Hunting

I am hoping to finish my Christmas shopping early this year and I started by getting the gift for close friends and my boyfriend's parents. I bought 6 sets of these postcards and I am going to get nice frames to frame them.

I am really not buying many expensive items online, however I do like purchasing smaller items (3-5 dollars) that catch my eye. My most expensive purchase lately was my wallet. I have been looking for a wallet for two months, so when I saw the perfect one I went for it.

I am waiting on the following things:

i) An Alice in Wonderland pencil, in purple my favourite colour.

ii) An Alice in Wonderland pencil case from eBay, which I have been eying for a while. Shaped as a shoe, with white canvas and silhouettes done in black and white of Alice and many other things from the story.

iii) Kawaiijapanshop order, two sticker sacks

iv) Xmas postcards, 6 sets

v) Charm to make a key chain for my school bag.

I have to stop myself from buying the last set from the Fairy Tale World stickers that I need as they are on sale. But, I have a budget I need to stick to. Anyways all those items were under 5 dollars except the postcards (16 dollars for 18 postcards) and the pencil case (9 dollars).

I was bidding on a game on eBay for my boyfriend. I actually forgot about it when I was out that night. Before I left for the night I raised my maximum bid to what I was absolutely willing to pay. I was outbid and I am completely fine with that. Someone else was willing to pay more then me and the total they had to pay was quite high. One day I'll find it for a good price. I always say when I loose an opportunity to buy something at a cheap price I eventually find a good deal on something else I am looking for.

Summer is here!

I really am not spending all that much this summer but it doesn't seem to phase me. I have really figured out what I want sticker wise, I love fairy tale stickers and food with faces, all others are on a case by case basis. I currently am waiting for five things in the mail, an Alice Wonderland bag from a seller on Etsy, two packs of a newly released fairy tale sticker sack from one of my favourite kawaii sellers, a package from a seller on Etsy of two packs of dress up doll stickers + a small bag with chibis on it, the things to make hair clips and possibly magnets for presents, and another package containing stickers I have been wanting for three months, as well as an Alice sticker set that reminds of Victorian times. Most of these I did not pay much at all for them, most were under five dollaers, the only thing that cost more then 10 was the bag. The bag I purchased I have checked and checked to see if it was there, I finally had the funds and could afford to purchase. I think it will be my one big purchase this summer.

I am really buying much as shipping at times does not make it worth it for me. The stores I used to frequent I rarely shop at due to the amount I have to spend to buy something there. If I am spending 15 dollars to get three things of stickers there is something wrong. Most of the items I have bought recently did not have high shipping and they were not expensive. Stores like, Janetstore I would love to buy from but when I total everything up in my cart it just doesn't seem worth it in the end just to get a few items.

What I have been doing differently is creating a wantlist on my favourites on Etsy, whenever I see something I want under 'supplies' I favourite it, that way I have a reference so I can look on different web stores for it at a cheaper price. I even have found stuff on eBay cheaper. I have two sellers I swear by on eBay. One is from Japan (Glenns-something or other...) and has a great deal of the new items out there, his prices are about the same as most sticker sellers, his shipping can get quite high but he often has stuff I can only find there. I found him orginally as he had some icecream stickers that I did not purchase and he had some. I have done numerous purchases with him. The other seller is in Hong Kong (funnycastle88), she has a large variety of older stickers but gets in new items at times. The first item I bought from her was the Alice and Friends sticker sheet. After that I have bought many stickers from her, she has great prices and shipping.

Etsy, it is a different story. I really try to look around at different sellers but usually I default to Japankawaiiya as they have the variety of stickers I am looking for. Just a few months ago I found out about Kawaii Japan Shop, they have great prices on newly released stickers and are super nice to deal with. They also have great shipping prices, which are cheaper then most Japanese sellers I deal with.

I really love all the sellers I buy from <3. I am happy I am getting some stickers I have wanted a while.

About favourites...

When ever I see something I like to buy but don't have the money at the time, I put it in my bookmarks list. I revisit these items every so often and sometimes purchase them if I have the funds at that moment. Usually when I buy something it is on first glance so this gives me an opportunity to think about something deeply.

I recently went through my list and found that one of the stickers sheets I wanted only had one left on eBay, I shouldn't have but I bought it.

It's sad, I have already planned out what I want to buy with my Christmas money, there are three prints I'd love. Two have been on my etsy fav list for months. My etsy list is a bit different, I favourite something before I buy it. Sometimes I will favourite something to have reference for it later.

I think I am slowly pissing off this particular etsy seller, I want to get 24 of this certain cabochons. I messaged them asking about making a custom order of 12 or 24 but so far no response. So far I have bought 2 listings of 6 pieces each. I only have 2 more listings to go. One was posted and someone bought it before I could buy it. So I'm around just refreshing.

I'll probably check again tomorrow...

Waiting...

I finally decided since the etsy seller hasn't gotten back to me yet (even though they were uploading new things) I would buy the item, then if they put another one up I'll buy it. There are two reasons I did it this way. Firstly, is the fact that the seller says it is a custom item, so I have no idea how much they will get in. Secondly, is they offer free shipping on anything in their store.

Smile!!!

I just found everything I have been looking for in a cabochon, it's shaped like a smiling ice cream cone at a great price. It's why I buy the stickers I do, this is everything I wanted to make magnets. I messaged the seller asking about more quantities/prices. Hopefully they responded.

I kind of like when I stumble across things randomly.

What is amusing to me is that I was googling alphabet cookie cutters and came across a Canadian site that sells bakeware. They have quite a selection, two of the sets I do have. Thee are the mini tin cookie cutters, I have both the alphabet and number sets, I bought these at two different dollar stores or $1.00-$2.50. The price on this site the number set $10, the alphabet set $20. That's a huge difference.

What happened to all the keyboard stickers on etsy?

There used to be a ton on the site now there is very little selection, I found one that I really like, which has smiling food. All the others are not me. eBay really doesn't have that great of a selection either.

I really have slowed down on buying stuff online, not much is really appealing to me and plus I don't have that much readily available funds for shopping online. I've been buying a lot from chapters.ca as my dad is getting me to purchase Christmas presents.

You never know where you are going to find something...

I am going to make a bag for my upcoming school party and was searching casually for fabric, at that point I didn't even have the pattern picked out. I found this awesome Hansel and Gretal fabric from one of my favourite kawaii stores, janetstore. I should just have enough for the bags outside. I didn't even know she sold fabric.

I'm only waiting on three etsy orders, then I am all caught up. Then I have two orders from janetstore, the fabric I talked about and then this Cram Cream strawberry bag.

Concerns...

This may be a bit boring but this is what this blog is intended for...

Still waiting for a bunch of stuff from etsy, this includes the following (from oldest to newest)

i) Another Japankawaiiya order: some dress up doll stickers, black air dry clay and yet another set of dress up doll stickers.

ii) Occupation girl dress up stickers

iii) Rare earth magnets..Lots of them!

iv) Icecream sticker sheet

v) Smiley food stickers

vi) Tin with smiley foods *I saw a picture of this tin a year ago and missed the deadline to order, I've never seen one since. I was browsing the person I bought the icecream sheet from and noticed they had bought that tin in may, when I got to the item page there was links to another one, so I ordered that. I'm so happy to finally get this memo tin*

vii) Happy food Sticker sack, Breakfast Food sticker sack and Alice and Friends sticker sack.

viii) Baby Crown play flower shop and Miracle Girls play fast food

ix) Crux Sweets Smile Sticker Sack *I find the picture for this when I was looking up stuff online, I couldn't find anyone on eBay, ecrater or LJ. So I decided to type the full name into etsy under supplies, after five pages I was ready to give up, then near the last page it was there. After quickly glancing over the sellers policies and the feedback I bought it*

x) Fairytale dolls letter set

xi) 2 Alice in Wonderland zipper pouches

xii) Jack and the Bean Stalk Zipper pouch

xiii) THIS PURSE *OMG..I love the fabric for this purse so when I saw it I just had to have it. It's almost the same size as my current purse*

xiv) Sticker Dress up Doll set *I've already missed this set once, so I found another person who was selling it. It's sooooooo cute*

xv) White Alice in Wonderland fabric *One of my favourite fabrics and after browsing I realized how sweet the white is, so I went all over etsy to figure out who had the better deal. It turned out the person I bought it from had the best deal*

xvi) Q-Lia favourites sticker sack *I saw this after I paid for another order from her, I asked the seller if they had any more. The response that she was getting more in, she messaged me today asking if i wanted a reserve listing for it*

From other sites I'm not waiting on much...the only real big thing I am waiting for is some Sailor Moon fabric from eBay, I decided to buy the yellow fabric as well. My plan is to make two bags if possible.

Small advice...

This is the story of this letterset.

I saw it on etsy a few days, thought it was cute, then decided I wanted it two days later. Before this purchase I sent a message to the seller asking what make of letter set it is and if it is a newer release. If it is a newer release, I'd just hold out and see if I could get it from someone else.

They didn't respond, so I thought hey it only has been one day, so I held tight. I did some research on google, I found nothing about this particular make. So I bought it.

I know the seller has been on etsy as they keep on putting up new listings.

I was talking to Mike about it and he told me, 'you purchased from someone who didn't even communicate with you'.

Ummm...yeah -_-.

Still waiting on a ton of items in the mail (14 orders on etsy at the moment...might be closer to 18 though), then still some other things on the side.

Stores!

I found one of my favourite places to buy kawaii items that are newly released for "wholesale" prices. I wanted this one letter set on etsy, I thought it was expensive, it's the going rate for letter sets. I went to this one store I like looking in and they had it in the new arrivals, even with more expensive shipping it was cheaper then the one I was looking at. They had 15 when I bought mine and they are already down to 4.

Going back to my last entry, I'm not buying anything starting today! There were a few things that came up....

I'm getting impatient waiting to hear from sellers on etsy, then again it only has been a day and it is the weekend.

Taking a break...

Not ordering anything until I get everything in that I have ordered recently, I've recently went on a small spending spree on etsy buying supplies for Christmas presents (as well as some items for myself). I'm waiting for way too many from etsy (8 orders, WTF!?!), only one from eBay and a few from LJ. There's also a few from ecrater stores.

I have to go pick up a package from the mail later today, I think I know what it is ^^.

Left my camera at Mike's house so I can't take pictures of stuff I got when I was away.

Mission accomplished...I think

I've been looking to make sure this one sticker set was still on etsy everytime I go on the computer, so I finally broke down and bought it. I also bought two other items to make the shipping worth it.

So I know have all the primary colours for clay and all the stickers I'll need for a long time ;).

EDIT: Wow...fastest shipping ever....not even an hour after purchase I got a PM saying it has been shipped out.

Oh my!

I got paid for a few things I sold and usually when I have money in my paypal account there is something I'd love to buy. I can't find anything at the moment, there are a few things on etsy but when it comes to the total with shipping it is way over what I want to pay. The items I'd like to buy are a sticker sheet and some black clay. I just don't want to pay 12 dollars for two items when I paid less for five items from the same seller.

Another seller had the black clay at free shipping but if I bought the stickers from the one seller and the clay from the other it actually would cost more.

I'll have to think about this....

So I'm just going to keep the cash in my account for now, it makes for a nice rainy day fund :).

I'm currently at my grandparents so I have no idea what has arrived in the mail. I hope there is at least one package when I arrive back home.

WOOT! First post of August!

<3

My huge order from Japan shipped so I am happy, my other small order of one item shipped as well. I also got my refund for combined shipping, so I now have some "mad money" in my paypal account, well I got paid for some cards I sold as well.

I promise to save this money until I find something I really really want.

I'm bored so browsing eBay.

I splurged...BIG TIME

I usually wouldn't do this, I was actually going to save the money that is in my paypal account but I found some stickers I wanted a lot on etsy. I'd already made a purchase from the same seller so I guess I am waiting for a combined shipping refund if it is possible. I made three seperate purchases from this particular seller. THe first order contained four packages of air dry clay, the colours being red, blue, white and yellow and a sticker set that I had in my favourites list. The second order I made was after I decided to search the store to see if there was any more of the sticker sets, they had two, so I bought those two along with a green package of clay. The third order only contained one item, another sticker set.

So in closing I am getting, 5 packages of clay and 4 sets of stickers.

The odd thing about the clay is they were the cheapest on etsy. They cost 2.95 a package plus shipping. Another seller has more colours but charges 3.20 plus more for shipping and combined shipping. The seller I bought from it is 3.50 for the first item, then .85 for the next item. Other sellers have it as 1-2 extra for additional items.

I'm also waiting for a shipping quote on something else. I'm not buying online for a while >_<.

I fail at saving.....

First of all I've gotten five packages in the mail so far, pictures of everything will be up soon. I've been lazy on these.

I'm waiting for a few things, a sticker set, my saint tail manga set, the second board for the sailor moon figure set.....and a new item, my big etsy order. I've never made an order this big, it was five items, four of them were clay to make my Christmas presents for my relatives this year. The other item was this sticker set I was eying. I wasn't going to purchase but I decided to do it as I needed clay for the project. There's probably some items I'm forgetting as well.

Wall of text...lol!

Someone posted on garagesalejapan asking about the Clamp no Kiseki special mail away pieces, I responded wondering how much they wanted to pay. The reason I asked is they stated in their post that eBay was too expensive for them, I've checked eBay and there is comlete two sets on there, one that is 380 plus shipping the other is about 500. In all honesty, my Clamp no Kiseki set was EXPENSIVE...I paid 225 plus shipping for the chess pieces then about 300 for the box with special mail away figures. That was two paychecks at the time but well worth it, keep in mind that was two years ago when these were a bit more plentiful. I see the sets once in a while now on eBay

I asked the poster ' Just as a general interest how much are you looking to find them for'

Their response was: i would pay at least $60 for the board and art book holder and probably $70 for the figures holder. if you had any of them i would totally give you a good offer in them :)

Ummm...good luck finding them for that price. I know I have seen people get lucky on the sets but never not that low. I have never seen the box + special kings go for under 100. Yeah I know the box is made out of cardboard but people know it can be quite rare. I've always wanted to make a real wooden box for my chess set with all the features of the cardboard one. I might look into getting that made one day.

This is my personal collection site showing my set: http://www.freewebs.com/patriciascollections/clampnokiseki.htm

I know I have a convention coming up but there are a couple things I have to take care of before I go, or even after. I have been actively searching for items from the Delicious Sweet line from Kamio. I currently own two items from the line, a pencil case and a wash cloth. Everytime I ran into the sticker sack, memo pad I didn’t have the funding. There seems to be a lot of interest in these items. I found a seller on ecrater selling two of the items on my list, the pencil and the sticker sack for actually responsible prices. The only problem is I noticed it was a new seller. I messaged her and she e-mailed me back super quickly saying that she had feedback on eBay. We e-mailed each other back and forth and the transaction came into a snag as ecrater does not allow combined shipping it just combines the total amount of shipping. So I will be getting a total for shipping later today as she checked on the postal website and got told 10.00 for basic shipping to Canada which I don’t belive, nor does she. I just paid the invoice which had awesomely low shipping..it was about two dollars. I found the memo pad for a decent price, there are some problems though, the seller has everything in the shop on hold and only ships to the USA. I’ll just keep a look out for it, I only need two items to make it a complete set, the pink dangly pencil and the memo pad. There are a few for sale but 8.00 for a used one or about 21 shipped for a new one.

The second thing I will have to pay for is this neat dress up doll sticker sheet I found on etsy. I asked the seller to put it on reserve as I know I am getting money this week. My plan is to scan in all the pieces, then make printable magnetic sheets.

I got one thing in this week…part one of my family’s chapters order. The odd part is I thought it would be the manga I ordered as Chapters sent me two e-mails saying that all the in stock dvds were temporarily out of stock for two weeks. So I get this heavy box today from Chapters, go downstairs to get the scissors and was surprised as the first thing was a DVD boxset, followed by all the in stock DVDs we ordered. I do have a tracking number for the manga so I’m hoping that maybe they mixed up or that they sent the package without giving me the tracking number.

I changed my address on paypal, thinking that is a part of the problems, I am having on slow shipping. It doesn’t make sense though, I’ll see if anything changes.
